Here is a list of friends that God has used to touch my life in some significant way. This is by no means an exhaustive list. There are many people over the years that have blessed me and not knowing them would have been a loss - but I want to acknowledge some that have been especially significant. I will be adding comments as time goes on. If you see your name and for any reason are uncomfortable with it being here or with what I might say please let me know. You are here because I want to acknowledge the gift of your life to mine and no offense will be taken. The list is in alphabetical order, not in order of importance.

David and Dennis Bernhardt - David and Dennis are twin brothers that I attended all 12 years of school with. I saw them reach out to many people with the love of Christ. I'm grateful for their persistence in inviting me to church and showing me Jesus.

Rich Herbert - "My client is a Dr. and has no patience (patients?) with computers", "You're still up!", "Policeman, wake up!". These won't make sense to anyone but me and Rich! What a great friend. I have never laughed so hard and so much with anyone! I am grateful for his consistent friendship, for his willingness to reach out to me, and humbled by his witness.

JoAnn Huntzinger - JoAnn was the motivator for me turning to God and pulling my life out of a deadly spiral of spiritual and financial destruction. I will be forever grateful and I am a better person for having known her.

Dan Higdon - There isn't any reason for Dan and I to be friends except to say it was ordained by God. He has become a valued friend and inspiration. His modeling of God's grace working in someone's life gives my faith a boost.

Bob Ingalls - I liked myself when I was with Bob. Self worth and self acceptance is something I've struggled with for a long time so that was a great gift. Bob has gone to be with the Lord but he will always live in my heart.

Maxine Jones - A tireless saint of God. To know Max is to love her. It's difficult to put into words how she has touched my life but I know she is a gift from God.

Susie Keown - I have never had anyone reach out to me like Susie. Even during periods of difficulty and turmoil in her own life she never hesitated to set her own troubles aside and show me the love of Christ. Her encouragement, kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.

Ben Lasoi - I connected with Ben the moment he started attending the singles group. God made arrangements for us to be roommates at a very opportune time. Ben was not only a financial help but also a wonderful Brother in Christ that I could pray with, laugh with and cry with.

Dr. Frank Walker - In my early 20's I suffered from terrible depression and suicide was a daily thought. One day was so overwhelmingly depressing that it physically hurt. All I could do is sit in my apartment all day in the dark. I knew I had to make a decision - kill myself or get help. It just hurt too much to do nothing. I decided to get help and God led me to Dr. Walker. He was not only a talented professional but also became a trusted friend. I am forever grateful to him.

Jerry Wolf - Kind, compassionate, understanding...I could fill the page with good words about Jerry! I can't imagine the void that would be in my life if I had not met him. He is someone else I can say I like myself when I am around him.

Julie Wolf - I think back over the last few years and can't see how God could have had any other plan than to have Julie part of my life. Through good times and bad God has used her to make my life brighter and give me hope. Matter of fact she once gave me a postcard with a map of the United States on it. In each state was marked the location of a town called Hope - just a reminder that no matter where you are there is always hope!
